The Agency

Spring was established in 1985. Its initial founders included Jos van de Pavert and Herberth Jan Samsom. They were among the first to recognise that healthcare-related markets also needed a strategy on which to base the development of communication media. Before long, Spring had grown into a leading agency in the Netherlands within the specific healthcare-marketing and wellness/well-being segment. It is a highly successful market which is set to increase in importance in the years to come.

In the face of an ageing population and in response to the fact that increasing numbers of institutions and businesses are including aspects of healthcare in their marketing activities, more and more clients are discovering the benefits Spring can offer. And they have good reason for doing so. The agency is home to a great deal of knowledge and experience of this specific profession. The added value this expertise can offer has already been amply proven for numerous businesses. As communication campaigns have become increasingly globalised, Spring has entered into an alliance with the advertising agency DDB, based in Amstelveen, near Amsterdam. Spring acts as DDB’s preferred supplier in the Netherlands, and when it needs it, Spring can make use of DDB Health’s international network.


Currently, Spring employs a total of 15 staff. The company also has at its disposal a wide network of freelancers to support it in the development of specific resources (including software development for internet and e-applications). Spring’s management team currently consists of Jo Bosma (Managing Director) and Jos van de Pavert (Director of Strategy/Creation and General Affairs).
