Doctors for Doctors
Strategy
Many businesses that focus on healthcare include corporate social responsibility as part of their mission, vision or values. Spring developed a strategy for articulating this responsibility, which can be used, for example, by the sales staff of pharmaceutical companies in order to engage doctors more easily in conversation (ice-breaker).
Campaign
In alliance with Oxfam/Novib, Spring set to work on creating a highly unusual plan. In the Netherlands, doctors were approached to see if they would be willing to adopt a doctor or member of treatment staff in the Third World. Oxfam/Novib then introduces the Dutch doctor individually to a doctor in the Third World. They share information and the Dutch doctor assists the Third World doctor with any problems. The strength of this approach lies in this one-to-one contact, since it creates a personal bond. Including with the company that made the campaign possible!
